I knew from the moment I started chatting with these two that I LOVED them and was so excited to document their love story! Idaho Engagement Session in Pocatello
Forest and Shay both worked at different stores in the mall. Shay would often come and order drinks from Forest and she eventually worked up the courage to ask for his number! Doesn’t this feel just like a scene out of a romance movie? Their love for each other is completely undeniable as you can see throughout their entire session.
Forest and Shay’s Love Story
Forest and Shay have been together a little over a year! They love taking their cat on walks and binge watching TV shows together. Throughout their engagement session, we listened to alternative pop and 2000’s bangers, there was never a dull moment with these two! They are a very playful, energetic, and cuddly couple. They truly couldn’t keep their hands or eyes off of each other!
Forest and Shay shared a favorite memory of theirs with me: “We were hanging out in the park together. It started raining and we played ‘Perfect’ and danced in the rain together” Do I even have to say this sounds like something out of a romance movie again?!
Tips for the Perfect Engagement Session
Couples have so much control over the outcome of their session! What it looks/feels like by incorporating certain color pallets, meaningful locations, and activities that they enjoy doing together. Here are a few tips to plan your perfect Idaho engagement session:
- Neutrals are the most photogenic color for portraits
- Coordinate colors with your lover!
- I recommend avoiding small patterns, they can cause something called “chromatic aberration” in digital images. Try to balance darker and lighter shades! (He wears a darker top and she wears a lighter top…) It makes your images look more balanced!
- Incorporate fun props/activities to do together! (ex. ride his dirt bike together, pizza picnic, longboard, grab a cone from your favorite ice cream shop, build a campfire and roast marshmallows… the possibilities are ENDLESS!!)
- Choose outfits and shoes you feel comfortable in! You don’t want to look or feel uncomfortable during your shoot. This is a time for you to relax and be completely immersed in your partner!
